There is no need to be in Gold Fleet.  Cause the teachers who do the DSA interviews, are not sailors themselves.   They will basically look at the student profile and decide whether to accept the student in via DSA.  At sailing centre, if your child shows lack of interest in Sailing or is rude to fellow sailors, all these small little information will be gathered by the School Coach.  And it can be used for or against your child.  

For my own son, at his DSA interview, the teachers asked, if you are offered a place in an ABC Elite school and our school, would you choose ABC?  My son, answered no... he gave his reason why.  He was accepted into the school.
